About Our CEO

Shemeka Hamlin-Palmer, Ph.D., MPH, BHC

Shemeka Hamlin-Palmer, Ph.D., MPH, BHC has dedicated over 17 years to the healthcare industry, passionately advocating for community education on crucial health issues such as HIV/AIDS, STDs, mental health, teenage pregnancy, partner violence, hypertension, and diabetes. She is renowned for her expertise and has been a featured speaker at prestigious national conferences, including the American Public Health Association Conference, United States Conference on AIDS, National HIV Prevention Conference, and the National Association of African American Studies (NAASA) Conference. Dr. Palmer's academic achievements include a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Health Sciences, a Master's Degree in Public Health focusing on Health Education, Promotion, and Behavioral Change, and a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration. She is certified as an HIV/AIDS behavioral counselor and a violence prevention professional in Mississippi. With over 17 years of experience, Dr. Palmer has excelled in developing and executing various health programs, including substance abuse, mental health, HIV/AIDS, STDs/STIs, and public health initiatives within community settings. As a seasoned consultant, she has collaborated with city, state, and federal agencies such as the Mississippi State Department of Health STD/HIV Division, the Mississippi State Department Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, the Federal Centers for Substance Abuse Prevention, Substance Abuse Treatment, and Mississippi's HIV Prevention Planning Group. Dr. Palmer is recognized for her proficiency in training individuals, organizations, and patients in evidence-based healthcare practices.
